These days

These summer days are flying by. Hard to believe tomorrow is July 1st. We have been enjoying warm weather (with the exception of today and tomorrow: 69 and 65 degrees), playing in the pool, we celebrated Father's day, and I felt compelled to put a picture of what feel like I do ALL the time...that's right...diapers. I have a feeling we'll have 2 in diapers for quite a while longer too...bummer.

6 months

Hard to believe Emmett is 6 months already! I feel like with each child, the months go by quicker and quicker. Its scary really, and I'm so trying to enjoy each moment...even though it seems to get so crazy! Emmett is doing great and is still just a little peanut. He's holding strong at 10% for weight at 14 lbs, 14 oz, and is 27 1/2 inches long (25%). He doesn't seem to be spitting up as often, which is really nice. And he is much more active than our other 2 at this stage. He loves to roll across the room to get things, and gets up on his hands and toes (not knees!). We'll see when he starts crawling...

just a spoonful of sugar

Moriah's ballet recital was earlier this month, and wow...did she love her first taste of "show-biz." The performance was Mary Poppins, and her class danced to "A Spoonful of Sugar." It was adorable. Something about little girls all dressed up is just so cute. Not just the outfits, but the dancing...quite entertaining. Especially the 3 and 4 year olds. A bit spacey...you know? At any rate, she did great and I am positive her favorite part was simply getting to wear a pink sparkly tutu and wearing mommy's make-up.

The Outer Banks, NC

The beginning of May, our family joined 3 other families in the northern part of the Outer Banks in North Carolina. It was a blast. We drove 18+ hours to get there, but it was worth it. Not only was the drive beautiful, and the kids did amazingly well (or our expectations were exceptionally low) but it was so much fun to be on the beach and share a vacation with some friends. Thanks to the Mathews, Holladays and Bromheads for inviting us!!
