OBX part 1

The middle of May we left (directly following Moriah's recital, I mean IMMEDIATELY) for the Outer Banks in North Carolina. We drove 6 hours the first afternoon to Columbus, OH to stay with Andy's brother Tim and his lovely wife Kimmy (and their two super cute kids). From there we drove 12 hours to our destination: Corolla, North Carolina! We did this last year, though not one 12 hour stint in one day. It wasn't as bad as we were expecting...Emmett did pretty well with just one 2 hour crying segment at the end. The first 2 days at the beach were rainy and a bit chilly. However, we were undeterred. It is a beautiful area, and we were so blessed to have such a great week with wonderful friends! Our kids loved having other little playmates!
